VBSers, planning ahead saves a lot of headaches and maximizes the fun and investment you have the week of VBS. Here are a few tips on how best to utilize your time and prepare for VBS.
Trying to think through what you need for decorating? Watch this video for tips, guidelines and expectations and to see why Alison Creel, our very own VBS Director IS NOT even decorating her class this year! Looking forward to seeing how God uses you the week of VBS.
VBS Supply Request 2015
Teachers – The following form is how you request any supplies you will need for your VBS class. It must be submitted by May 18th. I will have all of your supplies ready for you by Sunday the 24th at the church. Note: If the above form is not displaying correctly, please click here to access the form.
Just because we can’t leave things alone and we are always looking for ways we can improve VBS we have decided to update the schedule! Click below for a copy of the updated schedule. The biggest change is that we moved the Older Kids Worship rally. This most greatly impacts those that are teaching rotations. We will give you a printed copy before VBS so you can have on in your hands during the week but wanted to share this with you as soon as the changes were made.
Looking for some VBS ideas? We have LOTS of easy decorating ideas. One in particular is using vines to decorate… green streamers… and covering boxes with brown craft paper to make crates. Check them all out on our Pinterest pages by clicking here.
Decorating is not our main goal and it shouldn’t be yours either. Please, have fun with decorating but know that we are more excited about what you will do with the kids in your classroom than what your classroom looks like! Here are a few really easy ideas, from Lifeway, on how to easily add some fun color to your classroom with very minimal work.
Did you know? All class leads can get reimbursed for up to $30 for purchased supplies or needs for your class. You can use this money to buy a few easy decorating items or use it for some cool classroom supplies or giveaways! (Note: We don’t reimburse for tax so please use your tax exempt form when making purchases.)
